Teller Terminal Module

The Information Technology, Inc. Teller Terminal Module (TTM) and TTM Device Interfaces (TTMIs) integrate teller and platform terminals to ITI's Premier System. TTM provides the information to improve customer service and make a broad range of financial services available to customers.

Teller terminals can be used for account inquiry, receipt printing, transaction entry, memo posting and passbook posting. Optionally, ITI's Teller Terminal Module interfaces directly to the on-line Signature Management Module (SMM). Premier Teller terminals and ITI PLUS terminals interface directly to the Currency Transaction System (CTS).

PC based platform terminals combine teller terminal functions with new account maintenance and cross-selling to enhance both service to the customer and performance tracking, without requiring excessive desktop or counter space. Cross-selling is integrated into the new account process through a series of informational displays, prompted requests for information from the customer and deposit and loan calculators. Platform systems also allow high quality form and letter generation.

The extent of services that may be provided using teller or platform terminals depends upon the specific features designed into the terminal and TTMI.

Features

  • On-line security control
  • TTM services defined by institution
  • Memoposting and customer inquiry
  • Exception handling, supervisory control
  • Teller terminal cutoff
  • Usage analysis

Usage Analysis

Analysis reports provide a detailed summary of cash and transaction volumes including average daily and average monthly transaction volumes by institution, branch, terminal and teller. Similar reports are generated for cash analysis and include the average daily and average monthly cash by institution, branch, terminal and teller.

Transaction Mirroring

Transactions are recorded in a "mirror" file on a secondary disk for recovery purposes. The redundancy of maintaining real-time transactions on a separate primary and secondary disk drive assures both the integrity and speed of recovery from disk failures.
